Kitex Garments Limited was incorporated in 1992 as part of the Anna Kitex group, founded in Kizhakkambalam by the late Shri M. C. Jacob. It manufactures knitted apparel for infants and children, and operates as a fully export oriented unit supplying brands across the United States and Europe.

Most apparel exporters buy fabric and assemble garments. Kitex makes the fabric too. Knitting, dyeing, printing, finishing, cutting, sewing, embroidery and inspection all happen inside the same complex at Kizhakkambalam.

That is not a claim about size. It is a claim about control. A colour that drifts, a fabric that shrinks or a needle that breaks becomes a problem the company can trace to its own machine and fix, rather than a dispute with a supplier three weeks upstream.

The campus sits close to Kochi with access to both sea and air freight, and supports a wider network of satellite businesses across the state.
